Laura studied Dentistry (bachelor) at the University of Groningen (2008–2011) and Dentistry (master) at ACTA in Amsterdam (2011–2014). She worked for 5 years as a dentist in general practice in the Amsterdam region. During that time she worked with many children, including as a school dentist with a mobile practice in primary schools — where her passion for working with children only grew.
She then specialised in Orthodontics at Radboudumc in Nijmegen, under Professor J. Schols (2019–2023).
After getting to know all three dental faculties in the Netherlands, in 2023 Laura moved back to her roots in The Hague. She worked there for 3 years as a locum orthodontist. In 2026 her dream came true: her own practice in The Hague.
She had the privilege of taking over the practice of Ralph The — the very practice where she herself was treated 25 years ago.
You can come to Laura for all aspects of orthodontic treatment. A good treatment relationship is based on mutual trust. Laura discusses with the patient (and parents) and, if needed, with fellow specialists, so that a treatment plan is chosen together. She listens to the patient, communicates openly, and adjusts the treatment where needed. A pleasant and relaxed atmosphere is important to her.
